This is an opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to join one of the top 4 consultancies in the world!
We are looking for someone with an automated background that has prior experience using modern, agile software development practices. They will take responsibility for designing, maintaining and executing both manual and automated test scripts, working from defined acceptance criteria as well as their own experiences of user behaviours.
A Senior Test Engineer works within product teams to:
- Champion quality engineering practices within the team throughout the design, development, delivery and support of products
- Collaborate with testers, developers and other members of the team to ensure all aspects of testing (functional and non functional) are carried out as required. For example: API Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing
- Introduce techniques to ensure that high quality code can be delivered quickly and efficiently through automation and modern software engineering practices and tools, such as:
Effective branching strategies
Efficient, lean test automation frameworks
Utilising automated code scanning tools
Providing quick effective quality feedback
- Ensure support items are rapidly triaged and managed
- Encourage everyone (Developers, Agile Delivery Managers, Product Managers) to think about how quality is defined and measured
- Work with DevOps engineers to embed practices in the team which enable consistent, predictable, fully tested deployments
- Directly lead and mentor junior testers and developers on all of the above
Essential Skills:
- Extensive background in testing, covering a broad range of of applications/Products
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle and software test lifecycle
- Strong background in using tools such as Azure DevOps for Test Management activities
- Strong background in UI Test Automation using tools such as Cypress (Java script) or Selenium (Python or C#)
- Ability to create Test Automation frameworks from scratch
- API Testing using Postman or similar tools
- Proven track record of testing with a cloud environment such as GCP, AWS and Azure (at PwC we use all 3)
- CI experience with Azure DevOps
- Prior experience mentoring and guiding teams in modern, agile testing practices
- Performance Testing and/ or Security Testing skills would be advantageous

Salary: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
